Charles, who began his musical career at the age of 14 playing the local opera houses in East Texas, was also a musical act on the legendary Louisiana Hayride. During his musical journey which spans over fifty years, the local legend has bumped shoulders with numerous musical greats as well as helping launch the careers of many native musicians here in East Texas.
